CLEANING

We ask all groups to leave the centre the way they would like the next group to find it, please allow adequate time in your programme for the final clear up - we suggest that once the Centre is tidy it takes 2 hours for one person to clean everywhere properly. To help you we have a series of 10 cards itemising everything in each room that needs to be cleaned. We also provide all cleaning fluids and equipment.

The Chellington Centre will be inspected after each group has left and the directors of Reachout Plus reserve the right to levy a charge for costs of cleaning and clearance should any be required to maintain our high standards.

A Cleaning Package costing £35 can be purchased in advance of your visit (subject to availability). This pays for cleaning to be done for you, which can save you some of the hassle as you clear up the Centre, particularly useful with younger groups. (See below for details).

We have high standards of cleanliness in The Chellington Centre. If the cleaning by our staff, following your stay, takes longer than anticipated, we will unfortunately have to charge you for the extra time required to maintain this standard.

AS YOU LEAVE

A member of The Chellington Centre team will collect the keys from you at the end of your stay and will do a short inspection of the building. Provided you are ready to leave this should take no longer than 10 minutes.

If your programme is running over, or you need extra time for clearing up you will need to notify the Chellington Team member (whose details you will have been given) at least 1 hour prior to your arranged departure time.

WEEKEND GROUPS

Usual departure time is during Sunday afternoon, normally well before 6pm, please let the Chellington Coordinator know your plans when you are contacted to discuss arrival and programme details.

MID-WEEK GROUPS

Friday departures are usually before 2:00pm. Your departure time will need to be agreed as part of the initial discussions with the Chellington Coordinator.

Your cleaning responsibilities if you have purchased the Cleaning Package:

Please ensure that you have emptied all bins (excluding the sani-bins in the ladies and disabled toilets) and taken the black and orange sacks to the rubbish bins at the far end of the driveway near the road. Bins are colour-coded.

Please check that the following have been done:

• The Centre is left tidy with no rubbish on the floors including under the beds
• All beds are returned to their folded away position
• All tables and chairs are returned to their trolleys
• All surfaces in the kitchen are given a general wipe over
• The dishwasher is empty and the residual water drained
• All utensils are returned to the cupboards and drawers
• The cupboards for group use, the fridge and freezer are empty
• All litter has been picked up from around the outside of the building
• The toilets are flushed and toilet cleaner put down the pans.
