SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The Chellington Centre is fully accessible to people with special needs and disabilities.
Entrances: All entrances are accessible for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.
Beds: All of the bedrooms are fitted with durable fold away beds. The top and bottom bunks can fold independently from each other. This allows easier access to the bottom bunk and more space in rooms for wheelchairs.
Alarms: We have a number of mobile wireless alarms that can be fitted in the bedrooms.
Bathroom/Toilet: We have a separate accessible toilet for use by guests with disabilities and special needs. It includes a higher toilet, hand rails, shower with flexible hose and manual temperature regulations, a shower chair, and panic alarm. We do not have a hoist, but will assist you if you wish to hire one locally.
The Ibbett Room: The Ibbett Room is semi-circular with floor to ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. This room was specifically designed with the aim of bringing the outside in; particularly for those who find accessibility prevents them from enjoying the countryside.
Chellington Coordinator: If you would like additional information or to discuss a particular need please contact us.
